iklas Salmose has a film directing degree from Stockholm Film School and a Ph.D. in English from University of Edinburgh. He is currently working as an associate professor at Linnaeus University in Sweden, where he teaches courses on literary theory, modernism and literary didactics. His research area mainly concerns modernism, reader-response theory, affective theory, nostalgia, and transmodality. He has published on F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner, modernism and nostalgia and is currently working on a monograph on nostalgic aesthetics. He is also co-editing a volume of new critical essays on Malcolm Lowry. He is member of European Network for Avant-Garde and Modernism Studies (EAM) and Modernist Studies Association (MSA). He is also a translator and has recently translated Fitzgerald’s All the Sad Young Men to Swedish.
